Why Hypnobirthing?

HypnoBirthing is a rewarding, relaxing, stress-free method of birthing that is based on the belief that all babies should come into the world in an atmosphere of gentility, calm and joy. Birthing should not be an excruciatingly painful event, when a mother is properly prepared physically, mentally and emotionally she will be able to remain deeply relaxed during birth and experience a comfortable often pain-free birth. HypnoBirthing classes are antenatal classes, which prepare couples for a calm, comfortable, joyous birthing experience. The classes involve a small number of couples in a comfortable home environment. Totally different from normal antenatal classes the focus is on understanding birth and empowering couples to chose the birth they really want. The key to a positive birth experience is preparation of the mind and body, Hypnobirthing teaches women how to stay deeply relaxed and in control of their birth, reducing the need for pain relief and intervention, making birth a positive empowering experience, better for Mum, Dad and Baby.

Fear is the enemy of the birthing body

The Advantages of HypnoBirthing

•Reduces, often eliminates the need for chemical intervention, episiotomies and other intervention including c-section.

•Lessens fatigue during labour, leaving the mother fresh, alert and awake when birthing her baby.

•Shortens the thinning and opening stage of labour, often by several hours.

•Helps a family to bond even before the baby is born

•Almost entirely eliminates postnatal depression.

•Babies are born alert and calm not traumatised, they are often better adjusted and happy and as a result eat and sleep better

•Birthing is returned to the safe, beautiful experience that nature intended.

A baby that is born into a peaceful environment free of drugs is calm and more likely to breastfed straight away, making establishing feeding easier.
